Was partially on this route. Took it from Meridian to Hamilton. I really enjoyed it with beautiful shad that the trees through to the rolling hills in the distance. Took about 2 hours.

It was a nice relaxing drive, hardly any traffic and lots of country to see.

The trail from Burnet to Lampasas is paved, albeit poorly, but paved and narrow. It wasn’t until 15 miles north of Lampasas I hit a caliche road at CR 3700, or CR 99 on this app. I don’t know why the road numbers are different, but keep the app open as it’ll guide you through it. That road goes through ranch and farmland, but keep your eye on steep drop offs on both sides of the road as well as roaming cattle. I ended my trip at CR 2925.

I took this trail in reverse from Lampasis to Cleburne after a week or so of heavy flooding in the area. Signs of this are evident throughout the trail system. Several of the water crossings were moving much to swift and deep for me to attempt. At least two had disable vehicles in the creek/river within view of the crossings. If you take your time through some of these trails, you’ll be in for a scenic treat. If you’re looking for technical trails, you’ll be bored. I saw a ton of wildlife as well..lemurs, raccoons, horses, cows, rabbits, birds, skunks, deer, etc. Overall, I’d 100% recommend and will likely do parts of it again. I would recommend doing this after some healthy rains to add a bit of excitement to the water crossings.

Trail was mostly pavement. There has been a good amount of rain recently. I decided not to try and cross Meridian creek because of how fast it was moving. The crossing should be fine soon.

County Roads. Approximately 80% paved and 20% gravel. Nothing notable. Would not repeat. No notable views.

Started on 67 in Cleburne, Stayed on it for about 2 hours. Weather was beautiful the entire way was paved one short little dirt road in between paved back roads. Nothing really off-road about this route from what I could see but an amazing Sunday drive with the wife and kids. Couple of cool spots along the way and if you did this drive right after a heavy rain I’m sure you would encounter some water crossings that would make it a little more interesting. I plan on doing the entire route again possibly next week if any other Jeepers wanna check it out. I’ll give an updated review once I get all the way down it.

Very easy drive, several gravel county roads. Good views in a few areas. Finished about half of the drive.

95% highway not an enjoyable trail at all. Some dirt and gravel roads but definitely not even worth the gas. Honestly cant believe it’s even considered a trail

Not a very exciting trail. It’s 88% highway or shitty pavement. There are some nice views but you won’t be getting much dirt on the tires. I started south of Cleburne and headed west for about 50 miles of trail. Called it quits after a nearby tornado warning. I would still like to complete the whole thing. There were some hole in the wall places to eat in the small towns you come across.
