Tower Road

Despite recent rain, the trail was fairly dry, with just a few puddles along the way. Unfortunately, a mile or so before you get to Insurance Bluff (scenic overlook), a gate is closed, to protect turkey nests. So, you can either park and hike to the lookout point or turn around.

Partially Closed. Went about 6 miles down and gate was closed. Couldn’t make it to the overlook.

well maintained gravel road w/no ruts and minimal pot holes & was completely opened to bottom bluff trail. Spotty small showers w/more moments of sun then clouds. Trail was very dusty. Most off-shoots were open.

Trail closed at pot pt rd. To motorized vehicles

You can get in and start the trail but when you get to the point where there is a turn off on the left of the main Tower Rd trail, called Pots Pt Rd, there is a gate that was closed. So we weren't able to go all the way to the overlook of the TN river. We turned on Pots and there was a fork. If you go right, you hit another closed gate. If you turn around and go back left that route takes you back to Tower Rd but closer backwards on the trail. From there we turned right and left back out. Bummer but still a nice short ride.

Partially closed off, gate was closed at the turn to pot pt road. No signs or info.

Very dusty but fun nonetheless. Went up the main trail until pot pt road and did that loop and went back to the entrance.

Not able to proceed from gate due to a managed hunt

Drove is 7/1/25. Tower road is open to road traffic from the Suck Creek road entrance to just past Pot Pt road. You can access Pot Pt road but nothing beyond. Its a gravel forest road, its easy. We saw a Prius.
