Trail Overview

This is a forest service road with some beautiful views of the Ocoee Number One Lake. This trail goes by Bakers Creek. On both sides of the road at Bakers Creek, there are some camping spots where you will hear the babbling creek all night. So if you like camping with the sounds of water in the background nice place to be. This road is a well-maintained Forest Service Road with some cool spots along the trail to stop and explore. There is a big rock next to Indian creek that is a cool place to stop for just a picture or set up camp for the night next to the creek on both sides of the road.

Was up there Dec 5th and did see a lot of metal pipes on the sides of the road. Assuming that is what is occurring. I have tried to find out how long the trail will be gated but have not found someone with the answer yet. Will continue to investigate.

Road closed. Probably to install the metal drainage tubes. Closed at the beginning so you know right away.

Looked freshly graded. Nice and smooth... didn't travel the entire road but most of it. Lots of nice pull off spots where gates block really old roads. We pulled off in one, set up a tarp and cooked dinner. Didn't see anyone and left well after dark. Lots of metal tubes on the road sides from the forest service. Part of the road improvements. It was great with great views of the back side of Parksville Lake. Started raining and the dust went away.

Road closed approximately 2 miles east of the FSR 55 / FSR 302 intersection. Unsure why. Assuming bridge repair or culvert replacement where FSR 302 and Baker Creek intersect. I turned around at the Road Closed 500 feet ahead sign.

Few trees across the road but high enough to go under no problem few camp spots along the way on the creek.
