Trail A2 at Doe Mountain offers a well-defined singletrack route through a mix of open and dense forest terrain. The trail climbs steadily up the mountainside, weaving through cut logs and occasionally rutted sections with small roots and rocks. Riders will pass through wide open forests of oak and ash trees before diving into tighter, more technical stretches of rhododendron thickets that require precise, tight maneuvering. A couple of short descents add variety to the climb-heavy route when riding east to west. Unmarked intersections and a crossing with the youth training track call for extra caution and awareness of potential oncoming traffic.
