Trail Overview

White tail peak is five miles of pure scenery along a fun, gravel road. This route will take you along some of the Black Hills limestone canyons. As you traverse your way down the trail, be on the lookout for wildlife, as there is plenty hiding along the tall ponderosa pines. The Black Hills has an ordinance against mudding, so make sure to respect the trail if it becomes saturated and muddy. Be prepared to pack out what you back in, and follow the Tread lightly guidelines.

Great trail with views. West half is easy gravel road. East half, from trail 190.1A going east, is full of mud holes. One hole if full of H2O... might be 3 feet deep... go around has 2 foot deep ruts. Suggest dry conditions only.
