Trail Overview

Victoria 159 is a standard 'off-pavement' route that crosses between Sheridan Lake Rd and Highway 385 just south of Pactola Reservoir. This road is also the main road that offers access to many other full-size, SxS, and single-track trails in this section of the Black Hills. Not only is this an incredibly scenic drive, but the area is also a common place for firearms enthusiasts. Be extra mindful of people and vehicles traveling the area more heavily and different users practicing different outdoor activities. A Black Hills trail pass is not required to travel on this road and is open all year. Please respect the beautiful Black Hills and all trail system users! (Victoria 159 Documented 01/25/25)

Difficulty

The majority of Victoria 159 is going to be gravel with some small loose rocks throughout the path. There are a few small creek crossings, but they can become larger in size depending on weather conditions. There are a few sections along the trail that have larger sized rocks that can become challenging to smaller sized vehicles, or any vehicles when slippery conditions are present.

Trail is easily accessible, not crowded, but it was moderately muddy. There is one obstacle if running east to west that really needs some degree of clearance and 4x4 to clear. Otherwise it’s easy going and would recommend.

Victoria 159 Trail can be accessed by the following ride types:

  • Single Track
  • 50 Inch
  • 60 Inch
  • High Clearance
  • Full Width
