Castle Creek

This gravel route meanders through dense pine forests, open meadows, and stands of aspen trees. This drive offers a tranquil escape for those seeking solitude, and if you like to stay overnight, there is dispersed camping along it. The route is characterized by its smooth surface and gentle grades, accommodating most vehicles in dry conditions. Many trails branch off, but be sure to check your map as some are width restricted. As with most trails in the Black Hills, there is free range cattle, so be on the lookout.
