Trail Overview

This singletrack winds through the Black Hills National Forest for 3.6 miles in a sparse pine tree forest. The trail is often covered in small loose rocks or bigger embedded rocks. It's a tight trail through the trees that closely line the trail. It makes lots of sharp turns, and goes up rocky hill climbs. Some of the climbs are trickier, with foot-tall embedded rock ledges, and often littered with roots and sticks and covered in pine needles. There are lots of up hills as well as down hills in either direction, and some are quite steep, with ledges and embedded rocks. The trail goes between really wide spots and really narrow spots, but it's a really scenic landscape the whole way, with sharp and jagged boulders lining the trail. It has several intersections as it crosses the 6328 and 6322 single tracks and other trails several times, so it's helpful to have a map.
