Trail Overview

Litchfield Trail is broad with a surface made up of sand, dirt, and gravel. However, several sections contain deep tire ruts, standing water, and soft mud. These wet areas could become significantly more difficult after rain, particularly for low-clearance or two-wheel-drive vehicles. A blue rope was stretched between posts across one entrance during the visit.

Difficulty

The trail difficulty comes primarily from soft sand, deep wheel ruts, mud, and standing water. In dry weather, most of the road may be relatively easy. After rain, the water holes could conceal deeper mud or uneven ground.
