Westline Loop

Westline Loop combines FR 628 with an unnamed two-track loop road at the end to make a fun and beautiful route through a high forest plateau in Allegheny National Forest. This route is relatively flat, and the loop at the end passes through a beautiful section of dense evergreen growth. Along the way are several oil wells and related equipment, as well as a few old mining sites to explore or stop for lunch. Expect several muddy areas, some large puddles which may be unavoidable, and minor ruts throughout. There are several short spur trails off to the left and right sides, all of which are dead ends.
