Trail Overview

West Longfellow Trail is an easy 1.6-mile dirt route in Pennsylvania's Tuscarora State Forest, suitable for beginner offroaders and high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles. The route travels through dense woodlands, descending from 1,590 feet at the eastern junction with Longfellow Road to 1,390 feet near the western end. The natural dirt surface features minor ruts and can become muddy after rain. The trail concludes near Renninger Gap and Johnson Gap. Because cellular coverage is extremely limited throughout the forest, downloading offline maps prior to arrival is recommended.
