Trail Overview
This is Switch Hollow - FS 451. This trail is open year-round to highway-legal vehicles only. The surface of the road is gravel. The surface is pretty rocky, with lots and lots of little rocks, so it makes travel kind of slow. 0.3 miles in, there’s a medium-sized water hole. Half a mile in, there’s another medium-sized water hole with some mud. A mile in on the left-hand side, there’s a camp spot. Looks to be about big enough for a couple of vehicles. Between a mile and 1.2 miles in, there are some medium-sized mud holes. 1.7 miles in, the vegetation on the side of the road gets pretty encroaching on the road. It gets pretty narrow. Accessibility: Like many forest roads, its condition can vary, and it is best to check the Allegheny National Forest Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) for the latest information on its status. Conditions are also subject to weather and seasonal changes. https://www.fs.usda.gov/r09/allegheny
