Trail Overview

This is one of the first trails you'll hit if you enter Michaux from the south end. It is an unmaintained gravel road with multiple inclines and declines. There are many hiking trail options surrounding this trail, with Appalachian Trail access points. During the winter months, 4-wheel drive is suggested but not required for this trail.

About 6” of snow. Lots of fun out there. Slightly more difficult with the snow, I would definitely recommend 4WD in the snow, a sedan out there didn’t make it very far. Some downed branches, but beautiful.

Nice easy trail. It was my first time and there was nothing abnormal. Any vehicle can do this. I did find a spot with a bunch of trash piled up. Photo attached.

Dry and icy. It’s just a dirt road with a bit of snow and ice. Could drive it with a civic if you wanted. Nice views, lots of hunters.
