Trail Overview

OHV 27- A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. OHV 27 is a designated Off-Highway Vehicle Trail and should be able to be traversed with skill and patience. One end starts at OHV 28, with the other end intersecting with Cherry Run. While only 1/10th of a mile in length, this trail is mostly all rock obstacles and several areas with tight trees. There are multiple loose and embedded rocks, with the largest you’ll encounter being 3 feet. The rocks are at various angles with varying spaces between them. OHV 27 is almost entirely on a grade, with each end being a higher elevation, with the Cherry Run end quickly dropping to the trail's low point before climbing a steady grade to its high point. It is recommended that one walk this trail prior to entering, as it is advanced and vehicle damage is possible. It is one vehicle wide for the entirety and is open to any off-highway vehicles. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience running it in both directions. Trail driven and documented in November 2025.
