Trail Overview

OHV 40- A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. OHV 40 is a designated Off-Highway Vehicle Trail and should be able to be traversed with skill and patience. One end starts at OHV 29 near OHV 30, with the other end intersecting with OHV 46. At just under 2/10th of a mile in length, this trail is almost entirely rock obstacles. There are multiple embedded rocks, with the largest you’ll encounter being 4 feet. The rocks are at various angles with varying spaces between them. This is a tight trail in locations where some wider vehicles may not fit between trees. About midway, OHV 40 intersects with OHV 30, which could serve as an exit to an easier trail. OHV 40 also intersects with other OHV trails 33, 34, 4,1, and 43 that are more advanced. It is recommended that one walk this trail prior to entering, as it is advanced and vehicle damage is possible. It is one vehicle wide for the entirety and is open to any off-highway vehicles. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience running it in both directions. Trail driven and documented in January 2026.
