Trail Overview
OHV 21- A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. OHV 21 is a designated Off-Highway Vehicle Trail and should be able to be traversed with some skill and patience. Both ends start off Borrow Pit Path, with the lower end being impacted by the windmill construction project, resulting in some new obstacles due to fill being placed. Both ends of OHV 21 are on a grade, with the lower end having a short and steep change in elevation, with several embedded and loose rocks along with rock shelves. The largest obstacle you will encounter is approximately 3 feet in height. There are several areas where the trail is tight due to trees restricting the width. This trail is underutilized compared to others in the area. While this loop is only about 300 feet in length, it does offer a unique challenge. While it is a two-way trail, one should walk it before attempting to traverse it downgrade to understand the surroundings. It is one vehicle wide for the entirety and is open to any off-highway vehicles. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience running it in both directions. Trail driven and documented in November 2025.
Difficulty
This is an uneven trail with large, loose, and embedded rocks. These various obstacles are up to 3 feet tall.
