Trail Overview

Holtz Hill Road - A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. Located on the Northern End of the park, Holtz Hill Road should be able to be traversed by anyone on a motorcycle, ATV, or SxS. It is under a half mile in length. Named after one of Rock Run’s founding members, Don Holtz, Holtz Hill Road serves as a connector trail from the Rouges Harbor Road to Lower Terrace Road. It crosses over both Upper and Lower Briar paths, offering the opportunity to enter or exit both. Hotlz Hill travels entirely on a grade, though it is not overly steep, just continuous. There are a number of embedded rocks and one location with a lot of loose baseball-sized rocks. This is a wider trail offering many opportunity to pass other vehicles or to pull off and explore the surroundings on foot. This trail is open to bikes, ATVs, and SxSs. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding it both directions. Trail driven and documented in July 2025.
