Trail Overview
This is an out-and-back state forest road in Rothrock State Forest. It is primarily graded gravel and should be passable by any street-legal vehicle outside of the winter months. It can only be accessed from Martin Road in the forest. The intersection won't be easily missed as it is dominated by Camp 5-Y and its white cabin with green trim. It has one nice dispersed campsite (reservation required via Reserve America) along its length and offers hike-in access to the Rocky Ridge Natural Area via the Standing Stone Trail. There is a dedicated parking area with an informational kiosk and several smaller pullouts for single vehicle parking along the length of this road. The trail ends at the large and labeled turnaround area at the south end. Do not continue down the dirt two-track trail at the turnaround, as it becomes private property and gated past that, and it is difficult to turn around down that trail. This is a scenic forest road with some small streams on the west side of the road, and it traverses a quiet and remote part of the forest.
