Trail Overview

Fourth Gap Road is an in-and-out trail within Tiadaghton State Forest, and it is a typical graded gravel road. The trail has plenty of nature around it with pines and big timber, offering great shelter for the wildlife in the area. A wonderful site is the rapidly running brook that runs parallel to the trail. Several Hiking trails off this road are Spruce Trail, Mid-state Trail, Welshans Trail, Walters Trail, and Brushy Ridge Trail. Plenty of turnarounds and camping areas near the trail. This trail connects to Third Gap Road. Easy to traverse in the warm months, more difficult in winter with snow and ice, there is no winter maintenance.
