Trail Overview

A standard Pennsylvania state forest road that offers entry to the east edge of the forest if coming from the Milton area, just south of Interstate 80. Spruce Run Road is paved outside the forest boundary, coming from the community and the local reservoir. This forest road begins shortly after that and runs for 2.5 miles to meet the western portion of the forest road. It is largely flat and straight but receives no winter maintenance. Several small streams cross under the road, and you pass a handful of private camps on the way in. When the leaves are off the trees, the ridge of Buffalo Mountain can be seen to the south.
