Trail Overview

This is a long, winding, unmaintained dirt road with occasional muddy areas. The route provides access to the Montage Tract and joining trails. The road will not be plowed in winter. Downed trees and washouts can be expected. All vehicles must be street licensed. ATV/UTVs are not allowed on forestry roads.

Easy trip only hit traffic on the way out with two trucks and they kindly made way for me. Little muddy but just some puddles nothing crazy.

Early part of trail very easy, trail had a lot of loose rock and some ruts nothing major. After passing the small campground and turn around point the trail gets much rougher, some mud, and ledges.

Banish is nice and open. Once you get past the first large pull off. The rougher section is past the pull off/small camping area. This pull off area is your last chance to u turn before the intersection without going off the beaten path with a full size vehicle.

Wet afternoon ride on the Montage Tract with 570 Jeeps Club. Entire trail system was clear of downed trees and open.

Access Description

Entrance is a non marked dirt road off State Route 307 on the right just passed the intersection of 307 and Simmerson Road "abandoned".small parking area at entrance.
