Trail Overview

10 Speed is a short trail connecting the Hills Creek Lake area to the Ives Run Lake area. It is mostly comprised of dirt, which is exceptionally muddy during snow melt or rain. The trail follows along Crooked Creek and contains multiple stops to observe the various nature and wildlife preserves maintained by Pennsylvania's Department of Natural Resources. There is no winter maintenance, so the trail can be rather slippery when snow is on the ground. The spring and summer are the best times to run the trail as the forest forms a natural hollow around the trail. In all, the trail is very easy to drive but thoroughly enjoyable for the views.
