Trail Overview

This trail connects Cedar Butte Road with Jones Creek Road with an optional stop at Wolf Point. An open area just below Wolf Point offers great views to the north of Triangulation Point along with views of the Cedar Creek Valley below. The top of Wolf Point is accessible via a single track trail, although views are obscured by the trees. There are dispersed camping spots along the road at various points.

Difficulty

Although a basic gravel logging road, there are some sections that may be steep. A majority of the route is a shelf road.

Trail was in great shape. Gate was closed just after cedar creek, but there are other routes to take from there that aren’t marked on onx. We intended to do the big loop going counter clockwise (east at the fork), but cut most of it off by taking a detour at the closed gate. Not sure how much of the road is closed going clockwise. There’s a lot to explore here and many great routes aren’t marked on the onx map.

We really enjoyed this trail. It was a fun ride, lots of options for camping and some spectacular views!
