Trail Overview
Stage Station Road #2400 is an easy, 15.8-mile gravel road connecting Highway 31 to Developed Road 22 in the Deschutes National Forest. Highly accessible to standard passenger vehicles during dry conditions, the route features a very gentle grade with minor washboarding and shallow potholes.
The road runs directly through the East Fork Rock OHV trail system, serving as a hub for dirt bikes, ATVs, and side-by-sides. Numerous intersecting forest roads branch off the main route, offering opportunities for dispersed camping and additional exploration. The route is not maintained in winter and can become very dusty during the summer.
Access Description
The route is located within the Deschutes National Forest and is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. No fees or permits are required to drive the main road, but vehicles operating on the adjacent OHV trails must have appropriate state OHV permits. The road is not winter maintained and may be impassable due to snow from late autumn through spring.
