Trail Overview

Trail 114 is a short but intense directional descent dropping 850 feet in under half a mile from a campsite at the south entrance. The trail is extremely steep and deeply troughed, requiring skilled braking and comfort with near-vertical grades. Riders must navigate narrow, fern-covered single-track with root bands, loose rocks, and natural drop-offs. Several downed logs--including elevated ones you have to duck under--add to the difficulty. The steep grade and confined corridor make this a serious challenge, not recommended for intermediate or beginner riders.
