Trail Overview

Mount Hebo Road is an easy gravel and natural mixed-surface road that runs through the Siuslaw National Forest. Be mindful of the large potholes and water puddles, as well as slippery sections of mud when wet. One section of this road becomes steep and tight, and trailers are not recommended. There is one large camp spot at a big pit where people go shooting, but be aware that there are 3 miles of this road where camping is not allowed. Follow the signs posted in areas. You will find access to Pioneer-Indian Hiking Trail #1300.

A well graded gravel road. Good views from Mt Hebo. There’s a small parking area and then a short hike to an open meadow where the Hebo base / radar station used to be (no remaining structures).
