This is a well-maintained road with a distinctive black gravel surface that provides a comfortable drive through the area. Numerous spur roads and side trails branch off from the main route, making it an excellent arterial road for exploring the surrounding trail network. There are also plenty of opportunities for dispersed camping along the route, where permitted. Logging activity appears to take place in the area, so be aware of logging trucks and other work vehicles that may be using the road, especially around corners. Overall, it is a great access route for reaching and exploring the many connecting trails nearby.
