Trail Overview
This is a gravel-based forest road that gradually climbs to an elevation of nearly 600 feet, with a couple of switchbacks. The trail is wide enough for two vehicles to pass and has minor wash and ruts under 6 inches deep. This trail is suitable for all vehicle types, and travels through a valley and an old burn area that has been mostly cleared. There are great views of Mt Jefferson, Three Fingered Jack, and Green Ridge most of the way. Camping is allowed along this entire route, with many pre-existing campsites along the way. Cell phone service was weak and spotty, and there are no amenities on this trail. The nearest services and supplies are approximately 40 minutes from the beginning of this trail.
