Trail Overview

This short section is the smoother, more heavily traveled access road to Burnt Flat Road. It passes through a cattle gate with a nice cheater bar to make stringing it back up easier. Then it easily crosses the lakebed. There are lots of tall grasses, and they may be impassable when wet. Be sure to watch for Antelope and Chukker as you cross over. Two bars of Verizon LTE cell service are present.

Difficulty

Quite easy except for the cattle fence at the beginning; it may be a two-person operation if the cheater bar is gone. Otherwise, smooth dirt with an easy transition. May be impassable when wet.
