Trail Overview

This is a well-maintained road with turnouts for passing log trucks and/or other vehicles. The C.B. channel is posted along the road for those who have C.B.s. If you don't, the log trucks know it's a busy road, so they are on the lookout. Just use caution when going around some of the sharp corners. You will pass a day-use area for hiking and a horse staging area. Expect potholes.

Difficulty

Look for log trucks. Keep an eye for sharp rocks that can puncture street tires. It's a narrow road at times; look for wide spots.

History

The train tracks and trestle are part of the Port of Tillamook Railway.
