#62 (Part 1)

This segment of Trail 62 begins with a steep, rutted climb up a grassy hillside with split lines. The trail continues through overgrown forest with low branches sticking out and limited visibility before connecting to a forest road. Though short, it gains almost 400 feet in less than half a mile from south to north. It's an upper intermediate trail due to narrow/exposed sections, embedded rock, and steep grades, but it is more approachable than the many black diamond trails in the area.
