Trail Overview
Trail 577 is a 5-mile intermediate ATV route offering varied terrain and tight, twisty turns through dense forest. Riders will encounter small loose rocks, larger embedded rocks, and several intersections and road crossings throughout. The middle section--between the two junctions with Trail 577A--features a more technical climb up to a scenic viewpoint of Mount Hood, with big boulders, roots, and stumps requiring careful line selection and some articulation, especially for ATVs. A few longer descents are notably steep, but manageable. Portions of the road connect the main trail segments, and all intersections are well marked. The trail also includes a small bridge crossing over a creek.
Difficulty
This is a moderate route with plentiful rocky sections, semi-steep spots, and constant tight turns, ideal for riders with a bit more experience.
