Trail Overview
Trail 106 is a directional trail that makes a clockwise loop (north to south) through the Huckleberry Flats OHV Area. It starts as a smooth dirt trail going over several large waterbars, curving through the forest, with a few ruts and mud puddles. A few sections have small loose rocks and muddy trenches. There’s a steeper, rutted climb with loose rock that makes it more technical compared to the many easy nearby SxS trails. After the climb, it goes around the edge of the hillside in an area known as Vista Hill, where you can see over the edge of the hill through the trees. This is one of the more scenic spots in the trail system, as most of the trails are socked in to the trees down low. It descends back down towards 107 through a narrow forested corridor.
Difficulty
This is a moderate trail because it has several steep sections and deep ruts. Although there aren’t any major rock obstacles, it is ideal for riders with more experience to navigate the steep climbs and descents and ruts. This is rated as Most Difficult within the trail system.
