Trail Overview
Trail 102 is a short, but moderate SxS trail through the Huckleberry Flats OHV Area. The trail is directional, and must be ridden east to west. There is a big bridge at the beginning of the east end, and it continues through the lush forest of Douglas firs on a wide dirt trail. Several spots throughout the short route have a light layer of loose rock. It descends a gradual slope with a couple of embedded boulders in the middle, then makes a right turn and climbs steeply up a loose hill. Keep following the signs for 102. It’s easy and flowy in the middle portion of the route. Then there’s another descent to a small stream crossing, followed by a climb up with deeper ruts and big roots across the trail. Drivers have to navigate a narrow spot with a tree growing in the middle of the trail and deeper trenches. It ends on Forest Road 1928720.
Difficulty
This is more of an intermediate trail as it has a couple of steep spots with roots and ruts, embedded and loose rocks. Although short, the couple of technical climbs and descents are more ideal for riders with more experience.
