Trail Overview

This trail is in the Ouachita Wildlife Management Area. At 6.5 miles, be ready to spend a good one to two hours on the trail. This trail is very rough, with rocks varying in size from small to skid plate basher. Ground clearance is a plus on this trail. Some rock ledges exist up to around 12 inches. Bigger loose rocks can be thrown out from under your vehicle tires. Some mud holes can be present, especially after rain. Downed trees can become obstacles, and steep cliffs can have falling rock, so be prepared. Most of this is very narrow. Pick a good line, and this trail will be a lot of fun for the right vehicles.

Nice trail couple big rocks but easy to get around them. Lives up to it's name. Rocky definitely won't want to be in a hurry. Stock jeep won't be a problem

Not quite 2 lanes wide in most spots, but plenty wide enough to avoid pinstripes in my 4runner. Some fun mud holes - none were too deep. Pretty rocky but nothing big. Stock 4x4 should be able to handle it, but it will be bumpy so definitely air down. Maybe take the bailout on the bigger mud holes if you don't have AT tires. Holes were soft but not deep, so just use the skinny pedal. Beautiful trail - some good views and a couple of campsites. We went east to west.

Ran this East to West. I would say this is more of a light blue trail than a green one. Some of the rock ledges require high clearance. The mud holes on this trail are just that... mud. Running stock TA tires and got through just fine. Absolutely beautiful drive.

Great trail up to the top of the hill a little rocky nothing super technical bottom half of the trail though coming down the hill is a lot rockier and tighter still doable and fun, but you do have to watch the lines. A couple great camp spots specially at the top of the hill.

I went from south to north. The first half of the trial was rough and rocky but not to bad. Somewhere about the middle theres a few holes with over a foot of water. After that the Northern end of the trail is very rock with larger rocks of over 12 in and a low water crossing before you get back to the hwy. 2018 4runner 3in lift

This trail was a solid 3 in dry conditions, I was pleasantly surprised with how fun this trail was. The west side is strait dirt road, east side is rocky and slow going with some mud holes. Ground clearance is recommended with the rock gardens there are but no problem with minor lift and 34’s on 4runner.

Large Rocks, minimum ground clearance 12”, more if raining. Water crossings, skid plate locaters and pinstripe applicators. Will take about 2-3 hours if you’re careful and enjoying the scenery. Know your lines and a spotter would help.

Rough trail with large rocks and steep climbs with loose rocks. Don't attempt if it's wet/raining. Need at least 12+ inches of ground clearance. Was tough even for a stock Polaris General 1000 4x4

It's best to enter the north side of the trail off hwy 259. The first 3 miles of this end is the roughest, 4x4 low range is needed, and also airing down is a plus. Trail is grown up with brush in most areas on the first half, so possible pinstriping can happen.
