Trail Overview

This trail is the Main Loop trail around the border of Gruber ORV Park. It is the easiest trail in the park and begins and ends near the entrance to the park. It has multiple types of terrain from rocks, dirt, berms, and ledges, and one of the most views of the Arkansas River and communities of Muskogee and Fort Gibson. The bluff on the western edge of the property is a great place to take a break.

History

Gruber ORV Park is a free park, open to the public 24/7 with the exception of special events. Expect dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs, and full-size vehicle trails. Stock rigs all the way up to rock crawler rigs will enjoy the variety of terrain. (Don't forget to find the bluff area with a spectacular view of the Arkansas River).

A little muddy. It’s easy to accidentally go into different unmarked trails along the way.

Avoid the mud holes. Not too many on the trail, but most of the ones that are on the trail are massive. I’m on 34s and had water part of the way up the door. Outside of that, trail isn’t terribly hard and has a great view

It rained all night the night before and the trail was still able to be driven in my ram on 37s and my brothers non-lifted Dakota on 33s! There were some squirrel spots but a perfect day!

Pin drop at a mud hole which killed 2 jeeps on Friday. Ours lifted on 37” and someone else which is stock. We heard vehicles were killed by this hole. Every other part of the Gomer Pyle was great with beautiful scenery. The jeep community is awesome and came to our rescue!

This is a fun trail with a few tricky spots. I did it clockwise and think it would have been much tougher in my rig going counter clockwise. A few very rocky spots that require some forethought but that’s part of the fun! Great views of the Arkansas River from a bluff along the west edge of the trail. Will be back!

Really fun trail! Super scenic well marked with little colored squares. The whole park is laid out really well where people with different skill levels can branch out and find something for everyone.

Trail is well maintained, narrow, and a mixture of rock and dirt. Rainded the night before, some standing water and mud. Some good bypasses for some of the more technical/rutted/mud pit areas. Some steep inclines/declines.

Muddy conditions on many parts of the trail with mu holes up to 18" deep and ruts approximately 12" deep in water. Most can be avoided by taking bypass trails but a couple of them cannot. Also watch out for places on the Northeast side where limbs are overgrown and will pinstripe your paint.

Most of the trail was open. The north section had a mud pit that was unassembled, we had to take the trail that runs with the power lines back to tyler rd and then get back on the trail. There was a second mud pit that had a bypass around it. Taking it slow we were able to complet the trail in a Tacoma with stock suspension and 32" tires.
