Trail Overview
Sidetracks is a great bidirectional trail that connects users with several neighboring trails, including Governor Road, Lee Buck Road, and Creek Walker. The trail follows a two-track layout and is generally wide enough for vehicles to pull over in designated or wider areas when encountering oncoming traffic. Sidetracks is free from major obstacles such as deep mud holes, washouts, or other technical features and remain suitable for most vehicles under normal conditions. However, the trail surface is noticeably rougher than many of the nearby coastal trails, making for a slower-paced and slightly bumpier ride. Drivers should adjust their speed accordingly and watch for changing surface conditions. Sidetracks is an excellent connector for anyone looking to combine multiple trails into a longer coastal route or loop.
