Trail Overview
This trail is an easy forest service road that provides access to Croatan National Forest land and a few shorter trails. Along the road is a bridge, a small creek, an access trail to a clearing, and several hiking trails, while the end of the trail features access to three shorter trails. The surface is primarily crushed rock and typical of a forest service road. Be sure to drive carefully, as animals, hikers, and other vehicles are common along the route. This road is a good starting point for exploring the surrounding area, offering a mix of scenic views and convenient access to outdoor activities.
Difficulty
This road is very easy, with the only challenge being a few ruts smaller than a few inches, and can generally be avoided. The road is built up above the ditch quite a bit, so falling into it could pose a problem. The vast majority of vehicles should be able to drive this trail with little to no issues.
