Trail Overview
This small connector road links Morgan Hill Road and Power Line Road, curving back to rejoin Morgan Hill Road. It begins in an open logged clearing that can be filled with wildflowers in the summer, before climbing gently uphill at a mild grade. The surface is mostly gravel with a few puddles and minor washouts, but overall remains very easy to navigate.
As you continue, the trail enters a more wooded area, though the corridor itself stays fairly open without tight trees. The surrounding forest is dense, and the road alternates between gravel and dirt with some loose rocks. You’ll pass a small parking area with hiking access, and if you continue beyond it, the road eventually dead ends at a gate marking the boundary between state forest and private property.
Difficulty
This trail is rated 2/10 due to the mostly smooth gravel and dirt surface with only minor puddles and light washouts. It is suitable for most vehicles in dry conditions, with the main consideration being occasional uneven spots rather than technical difficulty.
