Trail Overview
This Lewis County ATV Trail System play area features a maintained main trail with multiple side spur mud and play sections for riders looking for additional challenges. The route travels through a mix of wooded terrain and open hilltop meadows, providing a variety of landscapes and scenic views. Riders will travel on a combination of gravel, hard-packed dirt, natural soil, and loose stone surfaces while winding through dense hardwood growth before emerging into rolling fields and elevated sections overlooking the surrounding countryside. Seasonal mud holes, standing water, and rutting may be encountered throughout the area, especially after periods of rain. A valid Lewis County ATV trail permit is required to ride this trail.
Difficulty
Trail conditions generally consist of gravel, packed soil, loose stone, and occasional washouts. Riders may encounter shallow mud holes, standing water, and moderate rutting in low-lying areas. Several gentle climbs and descents are present throughout the route, with sweeping curves and good sight-lines along most sections. Mud holes are generally avoidable during normal conditions. Conditions can become softer and more rutted after heavy rainfall. Follow all posted Lewis County ATV regulations and permit requirements.
