Trail Overview
Motorized Trail #902 is the fun way to get from Black Hawk Canyon to Saddle Rock Canyon. #902 turns west into a wash from T Bar T Road and goes through a sample of the different kinds of terrain found in the Burro Mountains. The trail starts in deep sand and crosses through a gate at 0.2 miles. After that, the terrain is a mixture of eroded slopes leading out of the wash, combined with large rocks and deep sand inside the wash. The climbs are not very steep but are heavily rutted with sharp cobbles in the ruts. The 'dirt' sections are made up of slippery kitty litter without much friction. The sand in the wash is deep, and the wash sections are narrow. The entire length of the trail is off-camber, often with one track covered in sand and rocks. The end of the trail is a descent to the junction with Saddle Rock Canyon. The trail is marked as suitable for vehicles 50 inches or narrower. It is tight but doable for a narrow side-by-side.

Difficulty
All surfaces on this trail are loose and slippery. The hard-packed sections are covered in eroded granite or sand. There are some rocks sticking more than a foot out of the sand in the wash. The trail is deeply rutted and nearly always off-camber.
