Trail Overview

A climb up a rocky arroyo toward the base of the Caballo Mountains. Lots of rocks 18 to 24 inches high, some ledges up to 24 inches high, and some tight spots that will test wider vehicles. Good views of Caballo Lake and an old mine at the top. Not recommended during the summer due to heat and the threat of thunderstorms sending a flash flood down the arroyo. A spotter is a great help. One area is a bit tippy.

Difficulty

Rated a 5 as nothing is over 24 inches high, but 24 inches is a pretty big rock. Overall, this trail is very rocky with some ledges and a couple of tight spots that could be a problem for wider vehicles. There is one climb that is a little tippy.
