Trail Overview

At the end of the trail, there are beautiful views of the surrounding red mesas and mountaintops. The route is an unmaintained dirt road that breaks off from FR316. During rain/snow conditions, the route is very slick with ruts throughout the canyon portion of the trail. During snowy conditions, the canyon portion of the route will develop snow drifts that can be significant depending on the amount of snowfall.

The trail has the potential to have large snow drifts and uneven rutted portions. When the trail is wet, the surface can become very slick. The trail is approximately one vehicle wide.
