Oak Flat Connector

Oak Flat Connector is a 0.8-mile single track on the south end of the Manzanita Mountain Trail System. Although short, it has some moderately challenging rock sections that will start your ride off with a fun challenge if starting from the Oak Flat Trailhead. The south end starts out at the Oak Flat Picnic Area, which has tons of parking and picnic tables. It goes north towards Pine Loop and makes a hard right turn that drops down a rocky section with multiple-foot-high boulders that are like ramped ledges, with lots of cobble-embedded rock as well. After the intersection with Easy Pickin, it drops down another rock garden section that is full of big boulders and roots with holes between them where you don't want to get your bike pinched. This section would be pretty tricky to go up because it's hard to find a consistently good line through the boulders. There's also a random old blue picnic table on the side of the trail before this second rocky section that is a random sight to see. It ends at the intersection with Pine Loop.
