Trail Overview

This rough, narrow, and rocky trail travels through the thick scrub oak along the eastern boundary of the San Pedro Parks Wilderness. If the trail is wet, some places become slick mud. The acorns from the scrub oak and lush grass attract Elk and Bears to this area. There are numerous animal tracks and signs along this route.

Roads where clear . Muddy in spots but easy to manage . Two trees are down and in the road. Small vehicles can manage around . But if you have a chainsaw to cut them , that would be useful . Picture attached.

the trail was wash out in some place but still passable in a high clearance vehicle. there was lots of down trees but we did the trail maintenance, and move them out the way. the first half of the trail is pretty easy. the second half is less traveled.

A lot of deep puddles. There were many new trails cut to help get around them. A number of downed trees as well. I only got in a few miles before deciding to turn around at the third and largest downed tree.
