Trail Overview

Corral Canyon is a 4.2-mile single track in the Sante Fe National Forest north of the town of Los Alamos and is probably the most fun and most popular dirt bike trail in this area. It's a fast and flowy dirt trail through a sparse pine tree forest. It's kind of sandy, but mostly dirt, and very smooth with hardly any rocks the whole time. It's a narrow single-track trail that goes along the hillsides, up and down small hills, and dips in and out of ravines, with only a few small roots. It goes past a really cool boulder section near the west entrance when it goes right up next to giant boulders. It goes through the boulders, but you don't have to ride over any of them, so it's still easy. There is one big rock slab drop-off that is a 4 difficulty, but the rest of the trail is a 3 difficulty. Other aspects of the trail include deep sandy corners, and you have to watch out for big washouts and ruts. Near the east end, it crosses a dirt road and goes along a fence until it drops into a sandy whitewash. Turn left in the wash until it meets up with Road 445C.
