Trail Overview

This Trail will take you to the ghost town of Wonder, Nevada. It follows a wash most of the way in many spots; the road is gone, and the wash has become the road. In this area, it is important to be aware if there is a possibility of thunderstorms, as you would not want to be in the wash when one passes through.

Difficulty

Most of the trail is through a sandy wash. Because of this, the trail can change if a storm has passed through and can leave some large ledges to have to climb out of it.

History

The town of Wonder was established in 1906 by 1909 the town had its own post office. By 1919 the mines had played out and the town began its decline. In 1920 the post office was closed.
