Sehoo Mountain

Grimes Point-Sehoo Mountain is a 3.8-mile (7.6-mile round trip) out-and-back trail rated 2 of 10, located in Churchill County. This hard-packed dirt road leads past the Grimes Point Archaeological Area out to the valley between Sehoo Mountain and Morrison Peak. There are no significant obstacles on the trail, and any high clearance 2 or 4WD vehicle should be capable of driving to the valley. The trail starts near the archaeological area and slowly climbs in elevation to around 4,200 feet. The area is enjoyed during the spring and fall months for dispersed camping. There is no shade along this trail, so bring your own. Another treat for the area is that it is likely to see various aircraft flying out of Fallon Naval Air Station. There is cell service at the beginning of the trail but ends after entering the valley area. The nearest services are located in Fallon. The trail is located entirely on BLM lands.
