Trail Overview

This is a short but technical trail filled with beautiful views of the Spring Mountains in Red Rock, Nevada. Find yourself climbing and descending steep, loose rock hills while testing your ground clearance through small rock gardens and medium-sized ledges. There are uneven rutted-out sections that include washboard. Look out for the natural gas line markers and stay on the trail. Be prepared to step out of the vehicle to look over the edge so you know what you are driving into.

Difficulty

There are uneven and rutted-out sections that will include washboard, sharp medium-sized rock gardens, and steep hill climbs with loose pointy rocks and ledges. Descents will require speed management to prevent damage to the front and rear bumpers when transitioning to level ground. Large rocks on the trail will require you to drive around or drive over with high-clearance vehicles.

The trail was easy to find and a fun one at that. I don't see it as a 6 but it did have some steep hills to go up and down that were rocky with small ledges. Ground clearance is a plus but I think any jeep or truck can do this trail. I did it in 2wd but did spin a couple of times. The trail is rocky.

This was labeled a 6/10, wasn't nearly that tough though. You definitely want clearance and its consistently rough and some fairly steep ups/downs, but no obstacles or major trouble spots. Fun little road.
