Take this rough and rocky trail to the remains of the Oro Plata Mine. The trail drops nearly 1500 feet of elevation as you follow the canyon down to the Colorado River. Explore part of Nevada's extensive mining history when visiting the abandoned silver and gold mine. Several structures and rusting equipment are still present. The opening to the mine is closed off for safety reasons. The trail down is canyon is a challenging one. Several steep rocky drop-offs make it suitable for high clearance vehicles only.
